Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and PepsiCo Services Asia Co., Ltd. (PepsiCo Thailand), in collaboration with GAYRAY from GMM Show under GMM Music Public Company Limited, proudly announced the success of the Waste Nothing campaign. This entire waste segregation and management, now in its second year at Thailand’s largest music festival, the 14th Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival, held on December 7-8, 2024, at The Ocean Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima. The campaign aims to promote recycling awareness and encourage attendees to enjoy responsibly by segregating and disposing of their waste in designated bins for further recycling or proper utilization.
Mr. Ashish Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated, “We are proud of the success of this year’s ‘Waste Nothing’ campaign, which received excellent feedback from music festival goers. The initiative achieved a significant milestone by segregating 11,150 kilograms of waste for recycling or proper utilization—more than double last year’s total. We hope this campaign serves as a model that inspires all sectors—government, private, and civil society—to recognize the importance of proper waste segregation from the start, reducing landfill waste. As a beverage manufacturer and distributor, Suntory PepsiCo Thailand is committed to promoting the segregation and collection of used PET plastic bottles for recycling into new bottles or called ‘Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling’. All PET bottles collected during this event will be recycled into 100% recycled PET (rPET) bottles. This initiative minimizes the use of new resources, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and supports the circular economy. It exemplifies our unwavering commitment to conducting business while caring for society and the environment, in line with our core value of Growing for Good”.

Together, we created a joyful experience for attendees and promoted environmental care through the ‘Waste Nothing’ campaign. This initiative raised awareness among participants about proper waste disposal and segregation. Most importantly, I want to thank the music festival goers for their cooperation. Their awareness and responsibility towards the environment were vital to the event’s success. This collective effort helps pave the way for future music festivals in Thailand to become more eco-friendly music festivals”.
During the two-day event, 1,485 kilograms of used PET plastic bottles were collected and processed through the Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling, turning them into new bottles. Additionally, 1,410 kilograms of aluminum cans were recycled through the Can-to-Can Recycling process for re-manufacturing into new cans. The campaign also ensured that 3,780 kilograms of general waste were converted into refuse-derived fuel (RDF) instead of being delivered to landfills, and 4,085 kilograms of food waste were processed and converted into electricity. Furthermore, 390 kilograms of other recyclable materials, including plastic water containers, glass bottles, and cardboard, were also properly segregated and recycled.
