Suntory PepsiCo Thailand Embraces the Value and Potential of Women by Fostering Equity and Driving Organizational Growth through DE&I Culture

Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of beverages under the Suntory and PepsiCo brands in Thailand, is proud to join in celebrating International Women's Day 2024 to recognize the achievements and progress of women worldwide, with the main theme is “Inspire Inclusion”. The company's commitment to being an organization that fosters inspiration and equal opportunities for all employees aligns closely with this year’s theme and reinforces its organizational purpose “To inspire the brilliance of life, by creating rich experiences for people, in harmony with nature".

Over the years, the company greatly emphasized cultivating a 'DE&I' culture, which stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Embracing this culture can create positive energy in the workplace, drive creativity, and allow employees to reach their full potential. Suntory PepsiCo Thailand is committed to gender equality, cultivating a culture that encourages the advancement of women to management positions. In 2023, women comprised over 49% of the company’s manager-level employees, nearly the proportion of male managers. The company is actively working to elevate the percentage of female hires each year, striving for gender parity in managerial roles by 2025. Piengchit Sriprasart, Chief People & Culture and Corporate Affairs Officer at Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., shares her insights from over 25 years in the human resources field. As a successful woman who has risen to senior executive positions within the company, she was recently honored as one of Thailand's most influential HR leaders, The HR Icons list 2024 by ETHRWorld Southeast Asia. She states, "Diversity and equity within an organization are crucial and present a challenge in human resource management. At Suntory PepsiCo Thailand, we put employees at the heart of the organization. Therefore, we aim to create an open and equal workplace where everyone respects each other. By promoting the 'Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) culture,' we believe that embracing diversity allows employees to reach their full potential and express their ideas, leading to a harmonious work environment. We foster a workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging through learning and understanding differences. This approach enables us to steadily and sustainably progress towards our goals".
