“Waste Nothing" Campaign Demonstrates Waste Conscious Fun, Collected Segregated Waste of 8,787 Kilograms from the 15th “Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival”

December 18, 2025

Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., PepsiCo Services Asia Co., Ltd. (PepsiCo Thailand), and GAYRAY from GMM Show under GMM Music Public Company Limited, announced the success of the third consecutive year of the “Waste Nothing” campaign. The campaign promotes better waste segregation and management while encouraging more than 45,000 music fans at the 15th Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival to enjoy responsibly by segregating and disposing of their waste in designated bins for further recycling or proper utilization. This year, the campaign achieved an impressive 8,787 kilograms of segregated waste.

Today, events across Thailand—whether concerts, exhibitions, or conferences—generate substantial amounts of waste, making effective waste management an increasingly critical priority for organizers.   Many events now feature waste segregation stations to encourage responsible disposal habits among attendees. As part of its aspirations to champion more sustainable packaging management, Suntory PepsiCo Thailand has partnered with PepsiCo Thailand to launch the "Waste Nothing" campaign to enhance waste management at the music festival. This initiative positions the companies among the first in Thailand to implement a more systematic approach that begins with waste segregation at the source aimed at ensuring that recyclable waste is properly processed and sent to the appropriate destinations. The campaign has been continuously implemented at Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival since 2023, setting a new benchmark for events that combine entertainment with a sense of environmental responsibility.

Mr. Tanuj Chadha, Chief Executive Officer of Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that “Suntory PepsiCo Thailand remains focused on advancing sustainable packaging management through the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principle, supporting more efficient and sustainable management systems. We place equal importance to consumers, society, and the environment alongside our business growth, with the goal of becoming a more sustainable organization across every dimension, in line with our corporate value of ‘Growing for Good.’ We further this aspiration through the ‘Waste Nothing’ campaign at music festivals and other Pepsi brand-supported activities, collaborating with multiple sectors to encourage consumer participation. Our focus is on waste segregation at the source, particularly collecting clear, colorless PET bottles to enter the Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling process, enabling them to be manufactured into usable bottles”

This year, Suntory PepsiCo Thailand, together with two key partners, implemented segregated waste management to accommodate nearly fifty thousand music fans at the event. More than 55 waste segregation stations were set up across the venue, covering four categories: 1) PET plastic bottles – specially designed bins dedicated to PET bottle collection, 2) aluminum cans, 3) food waste, and 4) general waste. The effort was supported by over 160 Green Guides from The Geen, an environmental communication and management company, who provided on-site guidance to support proper waste segregation throughout the music festival. Additionally, workshops were conducted to enhance environmental awareness among youth and employee volunteers, with hands-on practice through the “Mobile Bins” activity to instill the importance of waste segregation at the source. This collaboration under the campaign not only helped divert waste from ending up in landfill but can also help establish a sustainable waste management model for national-level music festivals. As a result, over the two-day of the 15th Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival, a total of 8,787 kilograms of waste was successfully segregated

  • PET plastic bottles: 1,120 kilograms processed through the Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling, turning them into new bottles.
  • Aluminum cans: 965 kilograms recycled through Can-to-Can Recycling process for re-manufacturing into cans.
  • General waste: 2,660 kilograms converted into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF).
  • Food waste: 2,410 kilograms used as feed for Black Soldier Fly (BSF), which serve as high-protein food for various animals; their frass can also be utilized as organic fertilizer.
  • Other recyclable waste: 1,632 kilograms, such as plastic tumblers, glass bottles, and cardboard, were collected and sent for recycling.

Ms. Tunnee Sinburimsit, General Manager – Beverages Franchise, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, PepsiCo Services Asia Co., Ltd. (PepsiCo Thailand) discussed the campaign's objectives, “The ‘Waste Nothing’ campaign reinforces the Pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) strategy, which aims for end-to-end, sustainable strategic transformation. We recognize that packaging waste is a significant environmental challenge. Therefore, we have partnered with Suntory PepsiCo Thailand and GMM Show to enhance waste segregation and management efficiency at the largest music festival in Thailand like Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival. This initiative helps increase the volume of waste that is diverted from landfill, while cultivating a culture of ‘enjoy responsibly by segregating and disposing of their waste in designated bins’, promoting long-term positive impact on our planet."

The ongoing communication and awareness efforts around waste segregation through the “Waste Nothing” campaign at the music festival is designed to inspire meaningful behavioral change among consumers. The intent is that attendees now better recognize the value in recyclable materials. Many have started to segregate and collect recyclables themselves, not only to generate income but also to actively participate in environmental care.

Ms. Pankaew Sattayawuttipong, Vice President – Showbiz Promoter, GMM Music PLC, concluded as the organizer of Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival, “We are committed to delivering entertainment alongside instilling a sense of pride in environmental stewardship among our attendees. GMM Music is one of the first companies in Thailand to initiate and drive environmental management at music festivals. We extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners and festivalgoers who participated in the ‘Waste Nothing’ campaign. We firmly believe that collaboration across all sectors can create sustainable positive environmental impact and transform music festivals into spaces that offer not only enjoyment, but also meaningful opportunities to take responsibility for our planet."

Throughout three years of the 'Waste Nothing' campaign at Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival since 2023, an impressive 24,972 kilograms of waste has been successfully segregated for recycling and appropriate utilization, including 4,400 kilograms of PET plastic bottles, 3,450 kilograms of aluminum cans, 2,022 kilograms of other recyclables, 7,200 kilograms of food waste, and 7,900 kilograms of general waste.
