Pepsi® teams up with S2O for an eco-friendly splash: Inspiring Gen Z to enjoy responsibly by properly segregating of waste through the “Waste Nothing” campaign during the Pepsi® presents S2O Songkran Music Festival 2025

April 21, 2025

Pepsi® by Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Company Limited, continues its packaging sustainability through the “Waste Nothing” campaign. Recently, Pepsi® teamed up with S2O Factory Company Limited to engage Gen Z EDM fans to unleash their energy and enjoy themselves in  a more sustainable way at Pepsi® presents S2O Songkran Music Festival 2025—the biggest EDM Songkran music festival in Thailand, under the concept of enjoying responsibly by segregating and disposing of waste in designated bins. The campaign aims to encourage EDM festival goers to actively participate in proper waste segregation for recycling to circular them back for production again. The festival took place from April 12–14 at Rajamangala National Stadium.

Mr. Anawat Sangkhasap, Chief Marketing Officer, Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Company Limited, said, "This year, we brought our 'Waste Nothing' campaign to life at the S2O Music Festival, infusing a sense of responsibility into the excitement for EDM fans. The feedback exceeded our expectations. We implemented proper waste segregation from the outset by placing waste segregation stations throughout the festival grounds. All recyclable wastes segregated in this event will be properly delivered for recycling to be efficiently reintroduced into the manufacturing process and a reduction of landfill waste. This campaign is a part of Suntory PepsiCo Thailand's unwavering commitment to driving forward 'Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling,' which involves the collection of used PET plastic bottles to be recycled into new ones, also known as ‘rPET’ bottles. All used PET bottles collected during this event will be recycled into 100% rPET bottles. This initiative minimizes the use of new resources, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and concretely supports a circular economy. Therefore, we vigorously continue the 'Waste Nothing' campaign as our key initiative that fuses fun with social and environmental responsibility, reaffirming our corporate value of 'Growing for Good'."

Mr. Pulin Milintachinda, Chief Executive Officer, S2O Factory Company Limited, stated, “On behalf of the music festival organizers, I would like to extend my gratitude to Pepsi® by Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., along with all our partners, and the over 90,000 music festival goers who contributed to the success of Pepsi® presents S2O Songkran Music Festival 2025. This year’s festival delivered exhilarating fun and demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental responsibility —a fitting highlight as we celebrated S2O’s 10th anniversary. Through effective waste management, we not only reduced landfill waste but also set a new benchmark for music festivals in Thailand, paving the way for a stronger commitment to becoming a more ‘eco-friendly music festival.’”

During the three-day Pepsi® presents S2O Songkran Music Festival 2025, the “GC YOUTURN” platform by PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) played a key role in receiving the segregated recyclable waste and ensuring its proper delivery to appropriate recycling destinations. A total of used PET bottles collected throughout the event were processed through the Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling, turning them into new bottles. Likewise, all aluminum cans underwent the Can-to-Can Recycling and were re-manufactured into new cans.
