Suntory PepsiCo Thailand, PepsiCo Thailand, and GMM Show Join Forces for the Third Year of the “Waste Nothing” Campaign, promoting better Waste Management

November 26, 2025

Bangkok, 21 November 2025 – Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., PepsiCo Services Asia Co., Ltd. (PepsiCo Thailand), and GAYRAY from GMM Show under GMM Music Public Company Limited, continue their joint ambition to protect the planet with the third consecutive year of the “Waste Nothing” campaign. The initiative aims to implement a more environmentally conscious waste management program at the 15th Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival, Thailand’s largest music festival, taking place on 6-7 December 2025 at The Ocean Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima. Music festival-goers will be encouraged to enjoy responsibly by segregating and disposing of their waste in designated bins for further recycling or proper utilization. This effort reinforces the festival’s position as a champion of better waste management in Thailand.

Thailand currently hosts more than 500 concerts and music festivals annually, making the sector a key economic driver that boosts tourism, creates jobs, and generates income for local communities.                Most festival attendees are the younger generation, particularly Gen Z and Millennials, who not only seek entertainment but also place strong value on environmental responsibility. This aligns with findings that 79% of Gen Z and 81% of Millennials believe that businesses, in turn could and should do more in environmental sustainability, enabling them to make more sustainable actions. As a result, leading music festivals worldwide are increasingly emphasizing sustainability through various practices such as reducing single-use plastics, segregating recyclable waste, and increasing use of renewable energy—allowing attendees to enjoy the music festival responsibly while actively and consciously trying to leave behind
a smaller environmental footprint.

As a standing supporter of the 15th Pepsi Presents Big Mountain Music Festival, Suntory PepsiCo Thailand and PepsiCo Thailand are collaborating with GMM Show to continue the “Waste Nothing” campaign for the third consecutive year. The initiative encourages music festival-goers to segregate and dispose of their waste in designated bins. It also aims to instill waste segregation habits and implement better waste management across the 600-rai festival grounds to ensure that as much festival waste as possible is recycled or repurposed. This effort reinforces the ambition to promoting more environmentally responsible music festivals in Thailand.

This year, the festival will feature 55 waste segregation stations, each equipped with designated bins for four types of waste:1) PET plastic bottles – this bin is specially designed for PET bottle disposal, 2) aluminum cans, 3) food waste, and 4) general waste. 160 Green Guides will be stationed across these stations to guide attendees through proper waste segregation. In addition, workshops on waste segregation and environmental awareness have been conducted for over 100 participants, including volunteer students from Pak Chong Schools and employees, who will help collect recyclable materials, such as PET bottles and aluminum cans, into “Waste Nothing” bags under the “Mobile Bins” concept, ensuring as much as possible that used packaging that is recyclable is effectively returned to the recycling system.

The “Waste Nothing” campaign is part of the sustainable packaging efforts by Suntory PepsiCo Thailand and PepsiCo Thailand, implemented through music festivals and Pepsi brand-supported activities (Event-Based Packaging Sustainability). The campaign focuses on collecting and segregating used packaging that is recyclable from the event for proper utilization, particularly clear, colorless PET bottles, which can be recycled into new bottles through a process known as “Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling,” and aluminum cans, which can go through “Can-to-Can Recycling” for re-manufacturing into new cans. At the same time, the initiative encourages attendees to segregate waste, cultivating the understanding of waste segregation from the start. This reinforces Suntory PepsiCo Thailand’s commitment to the corporate value of “Growing for Good,” which emphasizes sustainable business growth while caring for society and the environment. It also aligns with PepsiCo’s pep+ (PepsiCo Positive), a strategic end-to-end transformation with sustainability at the center of how the company will create growth and value by operating within planetary boundaries and inspiring positive change for the planet and people.
