We will continue to refine our beverage choices to meet changing consumer needs by reducing added sugars, and by developing a broader portfolio of product choices, reaching more underserved communities and consumers.

As part of our overarching Products strategy, we are taking aggressive steps to implement many of the actions to increase people’s access to more nutritious options. We will do this by:

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of our sustainable business strategy. It supports the corporate image and protects its reputation. CSR is not only a philanthropic responsibility, it also consists of an economic responsibility to be profitable, a legal responsibility to obey the law and regulations, an ethical responsibility to do what is right, and finally a responsibility to be fair and produce products which we are proud of.

As a good corporate citizen, we believe that we have a responsibility to contribute to the quality of life in our communities. Suntory PepsiCo Beverage Thailand (SPBT) is aware of social responsibility via the philosophy of "Sharing Profit with Society" and "Performance with Purpose" - achieving business and financial success while leaving a positive imprint on society. “Suntory PepsiCo” Signs MoU with “Raks Thai Foundation”
To Run Joint Projects on Watershed Conservation and Water Education (Mizuiku) for Children

Bangkok – Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Company Limited or SPBT, the producer and distributor of Pepsi-Cola in Thailand, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raks Thai Foundation to implement the projects on water education for school children and watershed conservation. The cooperation will help rehabilitate and preserve Thailand’s forest in a sustainable manner, educate local teachers on water conservation and raise Thai children awareness on the importance of water resources.

This partnership has derives from the corporate philosophy of SPBT called “Mizu To Ikiru” in protecting water that is one of the most precious of natural resources. The company joined with Raks Thai Foundation, who aims to leverage quality of life for people in the society, to effectively operate several long-term water projects. The two key initiatives are the Watershed Conservation projects in the forest area of the Mae Suk River, Amphoe Mae Cham, Chiang Mai, and the Water Education (Mizuiku) projects for school children in Rayong and Saraburi. Some of activities under these projects include:

  • Train the Trainers program for local teachers on water conservation, which can be shared to students and people in their community.
  • Youth Camps and Water Detective activity to raise children awareness on the importance of water resources.
  • Reforestation, vetiver grass planting and firebreaks and check dams constructions in the watershed forest area of the Mae Suk River, Amphoe Mae Cham, Chiang Mai.
  • Providing mountain water supply systems for four communities in Tumbon Mae Suk, Amphoe Mae Cham, Chiang Mai, to leverage the quality of life for the communities in terms of access to clean water.

To Help Reduce Cost of Living for Consumers

Bangkok –Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Company Limited or SPBT, the producer and distributor of leading beverages under Suntory and PepsiCo, responds to the Government’s scheme by offering Aquafina Drinking Water in the Thongfah (Blue Flag) Pracharat shops nationwide in order to help reduce cost of living for low-income earners and drive Thailand’s economic growth.

Omer Malik, General Manager of Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Company Limited, revealed “SPBT aims to operate its business sustainably while supporting the community under the “GROWING FOR GOOD” vision. We have reinforced this commitment by teaming up with the Ministry of Commerce to offer Aquafina Drinking Water under the Thongfah Pracharat 4.0 program. Drinking water is certainly one of the four basic necessities for a living, in our portfolio; Aquafina is one of the world’s leading high quality water brands. This cooperation will provide low-income earners, granted with the Government’s welfare cards, opportunities to purchase the products at lower prices so that they can afford more of products they need within a smaller budget.”

“Suntory PepsiCo” Volunteers for Community Forest Conservation
Taking volunteer employees to grow trees and seedlings

Bangkok – Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or SPBT, a local operator and distributor of PepsiCo's beverage brands including Pepsi, Mirinda, 7Up, Lipton, Aquafina and Gatorade, led by Mr. Charonchai Salyapong, Corporate Affairs Director, recently organized the “Suntory PepsiCo: We Care We Share” activity, which brought 40 volunteer employees to help conserve the natural resources and environment and enhance the community forest and eco-tourism destination of Bang Kachao by planting trees and seedlings at Suan Pa Ket Nom Klao, a community forest in Song Kanong, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan. The activity is aimed at creating employee awareness in protecting the planet’s natural resources.

“Suntory PepsiCo We Care, We Share” is part of the Helping Hands project, which is a Suntory PepsiCo's social responsibility initiative focusing on protecting the environment under the “Mizu To Ikiru” (Living with Water) and “Performance with Purpose” philosophy. The team together planted 250 Black Mangrove and Pi-lang Gaa-saa trees and 279 seedlings to help preserve the Suan Pa Ket Nom Klao, which is known as an eco-tourism and learning destination for students and the general public. This activity is in accordance with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s initiative to preserve and develop green areas of Bangkok, of which requires collaborative efforts from all concerned parties in a sustainable manner.
